About Windy S Morgans

History

It started when I was 4. I saw an old man walking down the street with an old pinto pony. That's all it took. Well I suppose I threw a fit until my Mom let me have my picture taken on the old pony. That started my neverending love for horses. I went riding any time I could whether my Dad took a friend and I to his Uncles horse boarding place to exercise the horses to any riding place someone would take me to. I grew up and got a job, a car and fell in Love with my husband of 42 years Rick. We moved to a rental acreage and I finally got a horse. I was given a retired barrel racing horse named Socko. He was 30 years old but the vet said he was 30 going on 10. Then we had to move back to the city and we gave him to Ricks cousin and he lived a good life. Then we moved back to the country years later and we got Bo. Bo was the kindest, gentlest horse I've ever known.  When he suddenly passed away I was heartbroken. I said no more horses. We moved back to the city due to my job and I thought I was ok with that. Then one day while I was visiting my brother, his friend suggested we go see her new colt. Well I hesitated but then decided to go see. That's where I fell in love with my forever horse Hawke. And he was for sale of course. I said I had to have him and could I board him at the place where he was and was told I could. Of course I had to buy the colt too! These horses came from the Loess Hills Morgans and Kim Becker. One day, leaving Kim's after watching her break Hawke, we all of a sudden saw a for sale sign just down the road from her. Rick and I looked at each other and said why not? What could it hurt to look? And here we are in Sidney Iowa, breeding and raising Morgan horses. My dream come true. Come in and look around. I hope you like what you see. We have horses for sale, so contact us if you're interested.
